Christian faith can be included at the level you choose. Prayer and Scripture are not assumed. You can also focus on the emotional impact of what happened without discussing faith.
Counseling is not a test of belief or a way to enforce a theological answer. Anxiety, grief, and doubt are not treated as evidence of weak faith.
A referral does not give someone access.
A pastor, friend, or family member may have told you about this practice. That does not give them access to your counseling information. We can explain confidentiality, its legal limits, and any authorization needed before sharing information.
