Jackson Counseling for Well Being

Website Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 7, 2026.

Jackson Counseling for Well Being LLC (“Jackson Counseling,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects the sensitive nature of reaching out for counseling. This policy explains how the public website at jacksoncfwb.com handles information.

This policy and counseling records

This policy covers the public website. It does not replace informed-consent documents or any Notice of Privacy Practices that may apply to counseling services. If a Notice of Privacy Practices applies, it separately explains how protected health information is used and disclosed in providing care and how individuals may exercise their rights.

Information you choose to provide

We may receive the contact information you choose to send: your name, phone number, email address, and a safe time to call. To protect your privacy, do not describe what you want help with or send symptoms, diagnoses, history, relationship details, or other clinical information through the public website, voicemail, or ordinary email.

Technical information

Like most websites, the site and the systems that deliver and protect it may process limited technical information. This can include an IP address, browser or device type, requested page, date and time, referring page, and security events. The website does not currently include a public inquiry form, advertising pixel, public-facing analytics service, session-replay tool, chat widget, remote font, or embedded map. WordPress, the production host, security systems, and authorized administrators may still process technical information needed to deliver, maintain, and protect the site.

How information is used

We may use website information to respond to a request, help arrange an appointment, operate and protect the site, prevent misuse, keep appropriate business records, and meet legal obligations. Jackson Counseling does not use appointment requests or clinical information for targeted advertising.

Service providers and required disclosures

Organizations that provide website hosting, security, maintenance, phone, email, mapping, scheduling, or similar operational services may process information for Jackson Counseling as needed to provide those services. An external appointment destination will be linked only after the practice reviews its intended use, data flow, notices, retention, incident contact, and business associate agreement decision. We may also disclose information when required by law, when reasonably necessary to protect a person’s rights or safety, or as part of a lawful business reorganization.

Cookies, analytics, and advertising

The public website does not currently use public-facing analytics, advertising cookies, advertising pixels, behavioral retargeting, or session replay. WordPress may use necessary cookies for administrators and enabled site features. We do not send contact details, appointment activity, or clinical interests to advertising platforms.

Phone, email, directions, and appointment links

Selecting a phone or email link uses your device and communications provider. Ordinary email may not be appropriate for private clinical details or urgent messages. Selecting a directions link opens Google Maps, which is governed by Google’s own terms and privacy practices; this website does not load an embedded Google map before you choose that link. If the practice later enables an external appointment destination, that service will have its own privacy terms and may receive the information you submit there.

Retention and safeguards

We keep website information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described, security, recordkeeping, and applicable legal obligations. We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the information, but no website, electronic system, or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your choices

You may tell us how you prefer to be contacted and whether it is safe to leave a voicemail. Questions or requests may be directed to Jackson Counseling using the contact information below. A request may be limited when information must be retained for legal, clinical, security, or operational reasons. This policy does not promise a right to deletion, access, correction, or portability where that right does not apply.

Children’s information

The public website is not directed to children under 13. Do not send a child’s clinical information through the general website or ordinary email. A parent or legal guardian should contact the practice directly to ask about current services and any applicable consent process.

Links to other services

The website may link to scheduling, mapping, crisis, or other third-party resources. Those services have their own privacy practices and terms. A link does not necessarily mean Jackson Counseling endorses every statement, service, or policy on another website.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the website, services, vendors, or legal obligations change. The effective date will identify the current version. We will communicate material changes as appropriate.
