Find a place to begin

How I Help

You may know exactly what you want help with. Or you may only know that the way things are going is not working anymore. Either is a reasonable place to begin.

Counseling offers a steady place to slow things down, talk honestly, and make sense of what has been difficult. At Jackson Counseling for Well Being, the work is personal and practical. We begin with what is happening now, what matters to you, and what you would like to be different.

Reasons people reach out

People consider counseling for many reasons, including:

  • Worry, overthinking, stress, or burnout
  • Conflict, disconnection, or uncertainty in a relationship
  • Engagement, marriage preparation, or an important relationship decision
  • Grief, loss, relocation, graduation, career change, or another transition
  • Questions about faith, purpose, church experiences, or spiritual life
  • A sense of being stuck, overwhelmed, or unlike yourself

You do not have to fit neatly into a category. These pages can help you decide whether this may be a useful place to begin. They are not here to diagnose you.

Your values can be part of the conversation

Your background, culture, values, and beliefs can be included when they help the work. If faith matters to you, you choose whether it is discussed and at what level. Counseling remains a clinical relationship and does not use beliefs to dismiss pain or pressure a decision.

Private-pay counseling

Counseling is private pay. Before scheduling, you can ask about the current fee, session length, payment arrangements, and any documentation we may provide. You should understand the practical details before you decide.

What getting started looks like

  1. Reach out. Ask for a callback with your first name, phone number, and a safe time to call. You do not need to send your story through the website.
  2. Talk about fit. Ask about scheduling, fees, the counseling approach, and the kind of support you are looking for.
  3. Attend the first session. Begin at a pace that feels manageable. You do not have to explain everything at once.

By appointment only. No drop-ins.
